Where are We Located?

Spring Break Camp drop off and pick up is located at our dojo on Merrimon Ave.  We will spend much of our day at the Botanical Gardens, nearby.  We will transport in camp vans to the gardens.

Summer Nature Camp is held at Warren Wilson College in east Asheville.  Afternoon classes and downtime are held at our dojo at Merrimon Square near the Hop Ice Cream.  We offer transportation from the farm to the dojo for students in after care.

How Many Instructors, and What are Their Certifications?

We always keep 2 highly qualified and experienced instructors in the group and will have no greater than a 12:1 student:instructor ratio.  All instructors are CPR and First Aid Certified.

 What Part Does Martial Arts Play in The Camp?

Martial arts principles of honor, respect, self awareness, and integrity provide a framework for camp while movement skills are woven into the day in various ways depending on the type of camp.

You’ll see martial arts-based movements in our morning adventures, our games, and many of the afternoon workshops.  However, for a class focused solely on our martial arts curriculum, students will need to sign up for our aftercare program.


Up to May 1st (Summer Camps) or March 1st (Spring Break Camp), we will off a refund minus a 10% Processing Fee of the total cost of the camp.

Up to May 24th (Summer Camps) or April 1st (Spring Break Camp), we will off a refund minus a 25% Processing Fee of the total cost of the camp.

From May 24th (Summer Camps) or April 1st (Spring Break Camp) to the camp start date, we cannot offer refunds for any reason.  We can offer 25% of what you paid credited toward another camp if there is availability.  At this point, we already have all our resources, supplies and staff in place based on the campers we planned to have.

  • Camp fees will not be refunded or prorated for any missed days due to illness, injury, or unforeseen schedule changes. Allow up to 4 weeks for refunds to be processed. All communications about cancellation must be in writing or email, and you should keep a copy for your records. The cancellation refund or credit is calculated using the date the written notice is actually received.
  • While we never anticipate a change, and while changes are rare, on occasion it may be necessary to change a camp location.  Provided that the new location is within 10 miles of the original location and provides a similar learning environment, the change will not be considered grounds for cancellation or refund.  Changes to locations more than 10 miles from the original site will result in families being allowed to withdraw for a full refund, provided they notify us in writing or email within 3 days of the notification of the change.
