2019 Counselors will be announced soon!  But you can get a great idea of the caliber of counselors we bring on by reading these previous bios:

Shihan, Sean Kennedy is a fluid and gracious mentor who teaches from the heart.  He has followed martial arts as a lifelong path for over 30 years and strives to pass on the valuable lessons he’s learned to the next generation.  He is currently a 10th Degree Black Belt and master level instructor in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.   He also holds black belt ranking in Tae Kwon Do and Chinese Kenpo Karate.

As head instructor of Budo Mountain Family Martial Arts, he shares his understanding of the authentic arts of Japan’s ancient warrior lineage combined with his lessons from a life lived fully and closely with the Earth.

Michelle loves helping kids to connect with each other and the natural world through immersion and play.  She is an outdoor enthusiast with a degree in Biology and is also a certified yoga instructor.  Her passion is helping others become their best selves, gathering inspiration from yoga, mindfulness, movement, nature, and the arts. She is currently developing the Anahata Earth non-profit with her mentor, which pilots in August. It will provide a fun and educational before and after school program for elementary/middle school students, incorporating those elements of movement and nature. She looks forward to having a safe, meaningful, and laughter-filled summer!

Jesse is an inspiring and nurturing teacher who connects with kids through compassion and understanding.  She has a degree in Sociology and Philosophy from the University of North Florida.  An avid photographer, she taught dark room and film photography at summer camps in Maine.  Jesse recently completed service with AmeriCorps, serving as a tutor and mentor to inner city youth.  Her interests include yoga and meditation, creative art, natural science and sustainable community organization.  She weaves these interest together while helping children foster their physical, emotional, and mental well being.
